Who? We are anonymous and would prefer to remain that way. "We" are not the point. The people we bring to you, are the point of all this. They will remain the focus.

We are able to do this because we have tweaked commonly available public license software to let us create web sites very easily. We are heavily indebted to the generosity of Patrick R. Michaud for making his PmWiki software available.

What? Making it easy, makes it possible. Sites of this type would otherwise cost the person whose business is presented a considerable amount of money. The people we serve do not have that resource.

This is another thing that makes all this possible. Go get the FireFox browser and use it. There are so many "engineering features" in Internet Explorer we would be spending days trying to accomodate their bugs and weird and wacky view of the Web definitions. We would prefer to put our time elsewhere. We have made minimal accommodation of IE6 but you will be MUCH better off with FireFox. Less annoying adware popups also!

We carefully screen our "customers" to ensure that they represent the kind of small businesses here in Oregon that we hope to encourage and assist. We draw NO money from their sales or business transactions. This particular effort is Totally donation supported. That is not to say that we will not build web sites for pay. We aren't quite that crazy!

The "Why" of it all is simple.

• It needs to be done.
• It should be done.
• No one else we know of is doing it.
  ... so we are.
