MyOregonCoast - - Introduction

This site is being provided on a space available basis to the Oregon Coastal community as a web "presence" site for those small, often family owned and operated businesses that are just too small to be able to afford a web site of their own or pay for the site design and hosting.

If you know of some small business or individual crafter or artist or just something you think people should know about this beautiful and friendly Oregon Coastal Community... Please drop a line to to us at My Oregon Coast using the contact form provided.

We are watching the content to make sure it is both child and senior friendly !<G>

You will have one of two types of "visibility". You will either have a section of your own on the "My Oregon Coast" web site, or you will have a domain name of your own and your own site hosted on our server. Domain names cost extra but it is only $8 for a year, so that is probably not a problem for anyone and we will donate the first year, if it is and you qualify as a viable business and bake us some cookies. Oatmeal or chocolate chip with nuts, please. No peanut butter!

You will also have an email address(if you wish) that will be "yournameofchoice@myoregoncoast.com", if you are on the main site, or "yournameofchoice@yourdomain.com if you have your own domain name. This address is primarily for people seeing your information who wish to contact you. You will have a "contact us" like the main MyOregonCoast contat us form on your pages or on your site so you don't have to expose your name, if you don't want to. Don't worry if you don't have a computer! We will, if you wish, get the email and route the order to you over the phone. We will not be hosting a "commerce service" with credit card acceptance, so if you want to sell things, that is between you and the buyer. We do not get involved and do not charge any fee. You can either use PayPal or we suggest you consider something as simple as "send me a check and I send you the product".

You will note a "donate" button here and there. This site is supported by a couple sponsors and myself. The sponsors pay for their sites which pays for a small dedicated server. The extra space on the server is available for use by small businesses. Our donation is our time to set it up and run it.
